THE CHALLENGE

PMA is a network of financial services companies that unite around one common goal—building financial strategies for stronger communities. Over the past four decades, PMA has served local governments, K-12 schools, higher education and beyond to raise capital, administrate funds, and plan for financial success. Although PMA has a dedicated HR department to handle recruiting, they saw an opportunity to enhance their hiring presence and differentiate their workplace through a culture video. They knew they needed a high energy, engaging video that would highlight what it’s like to work at PMA—so they turned to Charter & Co as their video production partner of choice.

THE SOLUTION

Through a discovery meeting focused on PMA’s hiring goals, key values, and organization structure, Charter & Co crafted a series of interview questions that would help employees tell the PMA story in their own words, with the ultimate goal of highlighting PMA’s workplace culture and company purpose. Charter & Co brought a professional video production team to PMA’s headquarters to capture all interview content, and footage from around their office space. Over 2 hours of content was distilled into a 2 minute video during post-production, and was edited to have an upbeat, fast-paced, positive tone. Charter & Co designed custom motion graphics that deeply integrated with PMA’s brand and website design, using animated designs to call out important “power phrases” from the interview content. PMA was thrilled to have new content that leveled up their website careers page, recruiting platforms, and LinkedIn profile—and they got right to work leveraging the power of their culture video in the hiring process.
