THE CHALLENGE

As March of 2020 rolled around, Fox Valley Special Recreation Association’s ability to offer world-class programming for individuals with disabilities faced a new challenge. COVID-19 not only halted FVSRA’s in-person programs - it also impacted the charitable giving that supported these programs. FVSRA was able to innovate new and exciting experiences that helped engage participants - creating incredible life-change and amazing stories. Looking for a way to rally the community around supporting it’s cause, FVSRA partnered with Charter & Co to explore telling video stories.

THE SOLUTION

Partnering with the FVSRA team, Charter & Co spent the day filming with three individuals who experienced life change through the association’s programming. These stories were ready for editing when our team suddenly came face to face with COVID-19. Even with most of our editors locked into a fourteen day quarantine, we still pushed the gas pedal harder. Using cloud-editing collaboration and communicating completely virtually, Charter & Co crafted three videos that made it to FVSRA right on time for their upcoming live streamed gala - sharing about the organization’s continued impact through the stories of three incredible participants.

"I would recommend Charter & Co without a doubt."

Dan touched our hearts the minute we stepped on set. His story, captured in a simple video, is a timely reminder that the act of thoughtfully giving can make a large impact. Recognized in the 2021 Telly Awards as a Gold Winner for Non-Profit Video, we’ve continued to see Dan’s impact on the community, locally and nationally, through his bike and his story.
